Mon problème est le suivant :
 
J'ai un portable HP nc 6320 (1 Go de Ram et disque de 80 Go). Une mauvaise installation d'un logiciel m'a imposé de revenir à une image ghost de sauvegarde d'il y a 15 jours.
 
Et là, les emm..... commencent : la restauration de l'image se plante à 97 %    
 
J'en prend une deuxième, un peu plus ancienne (que j'avais déjà utilisée) : même problème, la aussi vers la fin      
 
Je boote alors avec un Live CD Linux avec Gparted (0.3.3.3) : pas de problème, la machine boote, le disque est bien là, mes partitions aussi, dont la première en NTFS et bootable mais plus rien dessus (normal).
 
Je me dis que je vais réinstaller un Windows XP SP2 de base : quand il me propose soit d'installer, soit de réparer, je choisis Installer et là, le CD me dit que je n'ai pas de disque dur !!!!  
 
JE sias qu'il fonctionne car il est vu par Gparted sans problème.
 
 
Voilà où j'en suis et je suis perdu (et accessoirement dans la m.....).
 
JE epnse à une histoire de signature du disque qui empecherait Windows de s'installer ou quelque chose comme cà.
 
Quelqu'un aurait il une idée pour me sortir de là (utilitaire à utiliser, manip à faire,....) : je suis prêt à tout (mais apparemment bon à rien pour le moment)

y'a pas un système de restauration sur ton portable avec partition cachée ou CD de restauration

Non, c'est un poste qui avait été masterisé et la partition cachée avait été effacée !!

et un format ? sinon un test de dur avec ultimate boot cd

tu parles d'une mastérisation
 
faut toujours conserver un moyen de restaurer le PC d'origine
y'a en général moyen de créer des CD/DVD de sauvegarde
 
sinon, un bon format avec utilitaire de constructeur du DD pouvoir ce que ca donne

J'ai deux CD avec ll'image fournie par le constructeur mais c'est comme pour l'installation de Windows : elle se plante au début comme si elel ne reconnaissait pas le disque !!!!
 
Je vais essayer avec Ultimate boot CD pour voir si je peux formater

version resumée : dans le bios desactiver le serial ata, faire l'install, recuperer les pilotes du controleur, mettre a jour le pilote, reactiver le serial ata.

Steps to modify a Windows XP image to support SATA Native Mode  
 
1) Enter F10 Setup, and go to System Configuration/Device Configurations/SATA Native Mode to Disable.  
2) Install Windows XP Service Pack 2 in whatever manner is typical for your organization.  
3) Download the Intel SATA AHCI Controller Driver, SoftPaq SP32478.exe, from www.hp.com.  
4) Extract all the files from the SoftPaq. A USB floppy is necessary for this step. Run sp32478; this will create a floppy disk. The files will be located on this floppy.  
5) These files should be located on the floppy disk.  
a. iaahci.cat  
b. iaahci.inf  
c. iastor.cat  
d. iastor.inf  
e. iastor.sys  
f. license.txt  
g. readme.txt  
h. txtsetup.oem  
6) Download and run the Intel Chipset Installation Utility for ICH7, SoftPaq SP32781, from www.hp.com.  
7) In Device Manager, right-click the IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers/Intel 82801 GBM/GHM (ICH7-M Family) Serial ATA Storage Controller and select "Update Driver".  
8) Follow these steps to complete the Hardware Update Wizard:  
a. At the first dialog, select "No, not this time" when prompted to connect to Windows Update.  
b. At the next dialog, select "Install from a list or specific location (Advanced)".  
c. At the next dialog, select "Don't search. I will choose the driver to install".  
d. When prompted to select the device driver you want to install for this hardware, do not choose anything but click the "Have Disk..."-button.  
e. Type "A:\" and click OK.  
f. When prompted to select the device driver you want to install for this hardware, select the Intel 82801GBM SATA AHCI Controller  
g. A warning that Windows cannot verify that the device is compatible with your hardware will appear. When asked if you want to continue installing the driver, select Yes.  
h. The installation will complete.  
9) Shut down Windows and restart the computer. Enter F10 setup when prompted during the boot.  
10) Go to System Configuration/Device Configurations/SATA Native Mode and change it to Enable, then save settings and exit F10 Setup.  
11) After Windows restarts, the additional SATA components will be updated. A System Settings Change will appear. When asked "Do you want to restart your computer now?" click Yes.  
12) When Windows restarts, the SATA AHCI drivers will be completely installed.
