Lando X02 is a classy looking 1080HD quad-core Chinese phone!

http://www.gizchina.com/2013/02/18/lando-x02-is-a-classy-looking-1080hd-quad-core-chinese-phone/

Not so long ago we posted details of the stylish 4.5-inch Lando X01, but at 4.5-inch it is a little on the small side so the company have announced plans for a 5-inch 1080 model named the Lando X02.
Even from these renderings, the Lando X02 is a vert attractive looking phone and features design touches which many Chinese brands lack. The 5-inch phone boasts an extremely narrow bezel, giving a near edge to edge glass front.
We actually feel the design of the Lando X02 looks a lot like the Nubia Z5, or actually the larger Nubia Z7 rendering which briefly appeared last month.

Showing 1 to 13 of 13 entriesUnder the stylish body the X02 uses a 1.7ghz quad-core Qualcomm APQ806 processor, which makes a welcome change to the MTK, 1080 phones we’ve mostly been seeing. Cementing this phone firmly in the ‘flagship’ segment of the phone market, there is also 2GB RAM, 32GB of built-in memory, a 13 mega-pixel sony sensor and a 5-inch 1920 x 1080 display.
 http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/lando-x02-quad-core-5-inch-Chinese-phone.jpg
Two versions of the Lando X02 will be available a standard model at 2500 Yuan ($400) and a 24 Karat gold model at 3480 Yuan ($556), both phones will have a monster 4500mAh battery!

Vivo X5 could be world’s first 1080HD borderless phone!

http://www.gizchina.com/2013/02/18 [...] ess-phone/

Citation :

BBK’s Vivo brand of Android phones has really stepped up! Last year they launched the thinnest 6.55mm Android phone on the market, and now it appears they are looking to launch the world’s first borderless phone!

What we have above is a leaked photo of the purported screen for the Vivo X5. As the name would suggest, the X5 will be a 5-inch phone, but a closer look at the photo shows that there is a significant different between this 5-incher and others currently listed.

The image distinctly shows that the X5 will be a borderless phone with no bezel on either the left or right side of the display. This is a trend many manufacturers have been aiming towards, but it looks as though Vivo have beaten them to it.

Vivo X5 could be worlds first 1080HD borderless phone!

Now for the exciting part! It appears that Vivo are already gearing up to launch the 5-inch Vivo X5, as this photo shows the Vivi team preparing for a launch show! We can see that the X5 will in fact have a 1080 1920 x 1080 display and 13 mega-pixel rear camera, making the X5 a true rival for the UMi X2!

Sources close to Vivo have suggested the X5 will use a quad-core MT6589 CPU, with 2GB RAM, 32GB of built-in memory and a 2050 battery. The battery size may sound on the low side, but we believe it is due to a super thin design!

Xiaomi Mi3 leaked shell hints at 5-inch 1080HD screen

http://www.gizchina.com/2013/02/18 [...] hd-screen/

http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/xiaomi-mi3-leaked-rear-case.jpg

Citation :

Leaked photos of the purported Xiaomi Mi3 case suggest the new Xiaomi phone will be a 5-inch phablet!

Xiaomi are still relying on Foxconn to manufacture the next generation Xiaomi Mi3, as they had with the original M1 and current M2. While this is great for keeping costs low, it isn’t all that effective when trying to keep the latest designs safe.

The Xiaomi Mi3 isn’t expected to launch until October of this year, however a photo taken from inside a Foxconn factory shows what could be a leaked rear shell for the new phone, which is a whole lot bigger than the current 4.3-inch Xiaomi Mi2!

From the photo the case appears to be for a 5-inch device, which makes sense as Xiaomi tend to strive to launch phones on par with other flagship models. We can also make out space for the (13 mega-pixel?) rear camera sensor, (dual?)LED flash and the famous Mi logo.

The overall design is much more angular than the current Mi2, but as this is likely an early prototype we can expect a few changes.

http://www.androidetvous.com/2013/ [...] -prochain/
http://www.cnbeta.com/articles/226955.htm

    http://img1.lesnumeriques.com/produits/682/15115/oppo-find-5_1356617349.jpg

http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/lando-x02-hero.jpg
A unique design, ultra thin bezel and amazing specification make the Lando X02 a must watch Chinese phone for 2013!
Lando X02 Specification
Lando make very few phones each year, but every phone they do produce features a stylish CNC’d alloy body, stunning design and value packed specification. The X02 will be no different and features a 1.7Ghz Quad-core Qualcomm APQ806, processor, 2GB RAM and Adreno 320 graphics.
Like many Flagship phones the Lando X02 will sport a 5-inch 1080 display, a front 2 mega-pixel camera and rear 13 mega-pixel sensor. Android 4.1 Jelly Bean will come as standard, and a huge 4500mAh battery should keep the phone going easily over a busy day!
Why we like the Lando X02
http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/lando-x02-quad-core-5-inch-Chinese-phone.jpg
The X02 is one of the most original looking Chinese phones to enter the market. It’s not all style though as the hardware is spot-on and and pricing is competitive. The standard model will cost just 2500 Yuan ($400) while the bling bling gold plated model will set you back 3480 Yuan ($556)
Umi X2
Umi x2 hands onThe UMi X2 was one of the first MTK quad-core phones to be announced. The design may not be as striking as other phones on the list, but the equipment, features and price really make this a bargain to good to miss!
UMi X2 Specification
Just go and take a look at any flagship 5-inch, 1080HD phone from any manufacturer and what do you see? quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel camera? It’s all here on the UMi X2 too! The X2 is set to launch very soon and will feature a quad-core MT6589 processor from Meidatek. Not only is this an efficient and cost effective choice, but it also means the X2 will offer dual-sim support!
Why we like the UMi X2
umi x2 rear hands on
UMi impressed us last year with the dual-core X1, and we imagine they’ll do the same again this year with the X2! Oh, and the price is really competitive too at only 1499 Yuan ($240)!! Some resellers are already offering the phone for pre-ordermeaning the X2 launch should be very soon!

ZTE Grand Memo at MWC packs Snapdragon 800 chip
http://www.gizchina.com/2013/02/26 [...] -800-chip/

The ZTE Grand Memo has finally made its international debut at MWC. We have already seen the phone a few times here in China and Hong Kong, but it’s great to see that the phone is going international, but even more exciting is the Snapdragon 800 processor.

For those of you who don’t already know, the Snapdragon 800 is a new chip from Qualcomm and the Grand Memo seems to be the first phone using it. The less powerful version named the Snapdragon 600 is capable of Antutu scores around the 25,000 mark, so we can’t wait to see what’s capable of in ZTE phablet.

The rest of the hardware is as high spec as you would expect. There is 2GB RAM, 13 mega-pixel camera LTE support, Android 4.1 Jelly Bean and 5.7-inch 720HD display.

Narudo Lando X02 leaked will boast 1.9Ghz Snapdragon 600 CPU!

http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/narudo-lando-x02-leaked.jpg We knew the Narudo Lando X02 is going to be one classy phone, but what we didn’t know is that it’s going to be awesomely powerful too and will feature a 1.9Ghz Snapdragon 600 processor!
The Narudo Lando X02 is a very high-class Android smartphone, and not something one would expect from an ‘unknown’ Chinese brand, but this phone has it all. A great design, awesome specification and even a reasonable price tag!
The Lando X02 will actually be offered in 2 version. The X02P at 2980 Yuan ($478)and the X02 at 3280 Yuan ($526). The phones are distinctively different from the exterior as the X02 features a 24 karat gold plating, but there are also a few differences under the hood too.
The X02P will features a quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 CPU running at 1.7Ghz while the X02 will receive a performance bump up to an amazing 1.9Ghz! Battery sizes are different too with the X02P getting a 3600mAh battery and the X02 a rather large 4200mAh unit. The final difference between the 2 phones is that the X02P will support China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom, while the X02 ail only support WCDMA/GSM dual-mode.
http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/lando-x02-hero.jpg
So what about the rest of the phone? Both phones will receive 5-inch 1920 x 1080 HD screens from Sharp which feature CGS ‘Computer On Glass’ technology allowing the display to be both thinner and more energy-efficient. Sony are supplying the 13 mega-pixel rear camera’s but it hasn’t been confirmed if they will be the latest Exymor Pro units or not.
The two phones boast 2GB RAM, 32GB of built-in storage and support up to a maximum of 128GB of add-on memory! Android 4.1 will ship as standard, and the attractive body measures in at 141 x 72 x 10.3mm and features and anti-scratch coating.
Preorders will begin in April, with phones expected to arrive with customers by June. If you happen to be in Shenzhen on March 15 though you might be lucky enough to get one early, and don’t forget your student cards for a 500 Yuan ($80) discount!

  http://www.frandroid.com/actualite [...] s-en-inde/

Leaked ZTE U9810 specs show 4GB RAM  :ouch:  and 5 band support including LTE

Usually when we get news of leaked specs for a new phone we normally find the details to follow a tried and tested route. For example the norm for most new Chinese phones is a quad-core CPU, 2GB RAM and a 5-inch 1080 phone, great hardware but hardly surprising. Then we look at the alleged hardware for the ZTE U9810 and we are shocked, surprised and a little bewildered!

5-inch Umeox quad-core displayed at MWC! 1080 HD version due May

http://www.gizchina.com/2013/03/01 [...] n-due-may/
http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/umeox-5-inch-hd-hero.jpg The nice guys over at Umeox sent us photos of a 5-inch, quad-core phone they have on show at the Mobile World Congress. That’s all well and good, but we’re more interested in the 1080HD version due in May!
The photos here were kindly sent to us by Umeox directly from MWC in Barcelona, and show the company’s new 5-inch, quad-core Android smartphone. A name wasn’t supplied, but what we do know is that the model in the photos uses a MT6589 quad-core chip, 5-inch 720 display, 3 mega-pixel front camera and 8 mega-pixel rear, plus a 2500mAh battery.

umeox 5 hd

We assume this is going to be their entry-level 5-inch phablet as we have been told that a full HD version is due in May.
Don’t despair though as you won’t need to wait until May to get the juicy details! We have been doing a little digging, and have uncovered details of the 1080 Umeox phone and it sounds pretty amazing. The display will be suppled by Sharp and will of course be a 1920 x 1080 unit, but it’s the 13 mega-pixel rear camera that we’re most excited about!
According to reports the 5-inch 1080 Umeox will receive a Toshiba sourced 13 mega-pixel rear sensor with impressive Carl Zeiss lenses! We’re not sure how much this phone is going to ship for, but it might be worth holding on until May for the launch!
http://www.gizchina.com/wp-content/uploads/images/leaked-1080-HD-umeox-phone.jpg

Like the 6-inch model we reported earlier, this smaller phone has a protective alloy edging, giving the phone an attractive and unique appearance, and is said to be just 8mm thick!
The 5-inch 1080HD phone market is hotting up!
