personne s'est dit que un proxy ralentit forcement une connexion ? quil soit sous linux , unix , nt , un proxy augmentera la latence

T'as pas une petite machine sous la main ?
Une SME ( www.e-smith.org ), D/L de l'ISO, tu graves, tu administres par interface Web. Tu y rajoutes SquidGard pour le filtrage (auto ou ajouts manuels, par URL, expressions, etc..) + Sarg (pour la génération des logs de conso), et ça roule.
La mienne tourne depuis 8-9 mois au taf, sans prb. Et ça tourne TRES bien.

C'est très simple. Je n'y connais rien en Linux (RIEN), et j'ai réussis. T'as quelques RPMs à installer, et ça roule.
Si tu bloques, je peux tjs te donner un coup de main.
A toi de trouver une machine.
Ici, un PII 400 128 Mo et 6 Go. Mais il n'est pas du tout exploité, à peine quelque % ..
Si t'as une machine sous la main, à toi de voir.
Ce serai pour combien de personnes ?

En même temps SME fait serveur HTTP, FTP, Telnet, SSH, de temps, PDC, impression, Samba, DHCP, DNS, mail (smtp/pop/imap/webmail), proxy donc et d'autres fonctions.

on est une 30aine, et des machines reformées, genre p3/600 etc j'en ai 4 remisés dans mon bureau, en comptant la machine testproxy que j'utilise

je suis en train de tester squid pour ma société ...
j'ai donc mis la 25stable3 du port win32 de squidNT, et quelle n'est pas ma surprise quand je vois qu'il ralentit l'acces internet lorsqu'on l'utilise !!
en effet, la page ne s'affiche dans le navigateur que lorsque squid a fini d'en telecharger tous les elements (ce qui prend du temps, surtout si un gif genre le statut icq de ce forum met du temps) et egalement a cause de ca :

1 fichier sur 5 est stocké dans le cache, les 4 autres sont repris a chaque fois
le fichier de conf etant clair comme du jus de chaussette et ne contenant pas de parametre "mode tortue = 1", je me demande ou j'ai merdé ?
il est installé sur un win2000 server sp4, 384mo de ram, P3/600, DD 9go SCSI, ca devrait suffire quand meme ...
quelqu'un a une idee ???
