Boah je me suis remis à Commandos et BattlezoneII en attendant que le patch B&W sorte. Dans un mois je vais me prendre une claque quand j'installerai la Kyro 2 et que je verrais le zoli EMBM de Bz2 !!

On a le BM (Bump mapping). Tous ceux qui ont lancé un bench graphique en ont déjà vu.
Puis on a le Dot3 Bump mapping (je connais pas), l'EnvironMental Bump Mapping (EMBM : éclairage de bump map dynamique) et le Cube Bump map (je sais pas ce que c'est et c'est pas supporté par le Kyro 2).
Le pilleur que vous voyez là est bump mappé et éclairé (EMBM).

L'EMBM a été supporté pour la première fois par les G400. Ensuite on a eu le Radeon, puis le Kyro2, GeForce 3 (il était temps) et donc le NV2A (pour la xbox).
A noter que le bug de compression de texture DXT1 des GeForce est toujours présent sur le GeForce3 (ça donne des cieux dégeulasses) mais pas sur le NV2A.

La Hercules 4500 devrait sortir le 16 mai à un prix public de 1400F conseillé (on la trouvera à moins) et avec 64Mb de SDRAM.
Gros CPU conseillé pour compenser l'absence de T&L.
Un zouave a fait des benches et a trouvé le même score pour le 1280 et 1600. Il n'a pas compris que c'était le CPU qui limitait la carte (PIII733EB).

As tu lu le Joy du mois dernier ?
Sinon je suis d'accord que la compression jpg gâche le plaisir. Dans un mois je referais un post avec deux screenshosts avec et sans.
