Tout ça à cause d'un jeu  qui ne supporte pas le NAT. Donc je suis obligé de laisser de coté mon netgear DG834 pour utiliser cette bouse de 908.
 
Pour vous la faire courte :
 
Les drivers USB sont correctement installés, j'ai même téléchargé le dernier cd d'install de chez free hier soir. Le Gui du modem m'indique que son état est à "Operationnal" donc tout va bien . Seul problème, rien ne sort ! Pas le moindre ping, pas la moindre petite requête DNS, la misère.  
Oui, j'ai fait les bonnes règles sur mon firewall, et j'ai même essayé avec celui ci désactivé.
 
Hier soir j'ai essayé en ethernet, et le modem ne répondait même pas, devant les différents avis d'utilisateurs que j'ai pu voir ici ou là je suis passé en maugréant à l'USB.
 
Hint : j'ai déjà une carte bien sur ethernet, plus une carte wifi configuré différement. Dans mes connexions réseaux j'ai en plus la fameuse 1394 configuré en dhcp pour les ip de mon poste et j'ai essayé de mettre les dns de free, puis en laissant ces derniers libres aussi mais ça n'a rien changé. Sur le 1394, le ppoe n'est pas dispo.

il est même pas sensé savoir qu'il est derrière un routeur ton jeu ...

Oui, sauf que c'est indiqué par le fabriquant dans son support, au début j'avais une erreur du style "pb d'accès port firewall" (vive la traduc)  et en épluchant les pages du support c'était explicitement indiqué :

  Westwood Online is a matching service only. When you select other users to play with, and hit "Start Game"... Westwood Online matches your IP address with the other players and then passes the information to Tiberian Sun. From then on, all communnication is happening directly between the host and the other player(s).
 
If one of the players has a poor connection, (low ping rate, etc), the user may get disconnected during the load process. If this happens, the user left in the game when it starts is instantly declared victorious. The only solution to this is for the user to only play with similar connections, or make sure both users have all background programs shut down prior to launching TS.
 
Tiberian Sun does not support NAT... Network Address Translating is commonly used when Sharing Internet connections, through Windows Internet Connection Sharing (ICS), or programs like Sygate. If you have Internet Connection Sharing enabled, you will need to enable ports 1234 and 1140 on your host machine as well. ICS is a feature installed on some Windows 98 networks sharing a single computer's Internet connection across multiple machines.  
 
To allow Tiberian Sun to run through a proxy server or firewall, you must enable UDP traffic through ports 5400 and 4000. If you run ICQ, make sure it is closed before running Tiberian Sun online (because ICQ also uses port 4000).
 
If it is, you will need to enable some ports to UDP traffic in order to communicate with Westwood Online. Ports 1234, 1235, 1236, and 1237 should allow UDP traffic.
 
Also, ports 7000, 7001, 7002, 3840, 4005 and 4995 will need to be opened for all TCP traffic.
 
If you do not know how to configure your firewall, please consult your firewall documentation, contact your system administrator, or contact your Internet service provider.
 
It is also possible for one of the users to have internal errors during the load process if they have conflicting programs running in the background of Windows. To resolve this conflict, all programs running in the background should be closed out prior to launching the game. To do this, hit CTRL-ALT-DEL and "End Task" on each task until all that is left running is: "Systray" and "Explorer". You may need to End Task on a program several times if it is not ending the first time. "

Tout les ports sont ouverts ok ? Il ne me reste qu'à essayer avec ce putain de modem et je serai fixé pour savoir d'où ça vient, donc je recentre : comment faire pour que le sagem 908 fonctionne correctement ?
