mplayer bloque et VLC ne lis pas les divx

slt tlm voila quand je regarde un divx avec mplayer quelqu'en soit la priorité avec laquelle je le lance il y a tjrs des ralentissements. comment puis je regler se probleme.
je precise que je l'ai installé depuis les sources, mon proc est un p3 500 et que les divx regardé passe tres bien ss XP

3d prophet 4500 ( kyro II )
g installé les drivers moi meme car pas reconnu d'origine

edit : les drivers son correctement installé car je joue a quake III sur ma RedHat et ca tourne aussi bien que ss XP

je ne me rappelle pas d'avoir eu ce genre de probleme avec ma kyro2 ... mais je peux pas plus t'aider

non tjrs pas, pourtant j'ai bien mis a jour ce qu'il fallait il me sort un nouveau message d'erreur maintenant alors ca me decourage un peut

va voir sur le topic que tu avais créé, j'avais posté une réponse. En gros en desinstallant la vieille version de automake ca marchait.

alors g recompilé mplayer ( en rajoutant des codecs ) des fois que ca puisse enlever mon prob. autre prob je me rend compte : je regarde une video en streaming( c du wmv ) mais voila g pas le son mplayer me dit qu'il trouve pas le codec pour le format audio 0xA

hmm ... ca sent le problème de hdparm ...
fait un "hdparm /dev/hda" en root (enfin avec le périph de bloc de ton disque dur) et tu devrais avoir :

using_dma = 1 (on)

(avec d'autres choses)
Si ce n'est pas le cas, "hdparm -d 1 -c 1 -k 1 /dev/hda"
et puis tant qu'a faire, fait la meme chose pour ton lecteur cd (/dev/hdc ??); si ca résout ton problème, alors

echo 'hdparm -d 1 -c 1 /dev/hda' >> /etc/rc.d/rc.local

pour refaire ces réglages automatiquement au démarrage de la machine

Instqlles VideoLan qui a une architecture completement differente; et essaye de lire les memes videos. SI ca passe comme il faut, c'est que c'est mplayer qui as un probleme. SI ca cafouille aussi c'est que c'est ton systeme.

je l'ai testé pour la lecture des dvd il a laire de se comporté mieux ( rallenti moins) mais je ne peux pas lire les divx avec ( pourtant g installer divx4linux)
