Bonjour,
la prise ETHERNET n'est pas activée, le module n'est pas chargé. Sur le CD il y a un dossier drivers Linux, avec une procédure d'install qui m'a l'air assez compliquée.
Pas moyen de faire plus simple avec URPMI ?
Le réseau, c'est du Gigabyte.
Voici ce qui figura sur le CD :
To build a binary RPM* package of this driver, run 'rpmbuild -tb  
<filename.tar.gz>'. Replace <filename.tar.gz> with the specific filename of  
the driver.
 
NOTE: For the build to work properly, the currently running kernel MUST match  
      the version and configuration of the installed kernel sources. If you  
      have just recompiled the kernel reboot the system now.
      RPM functionality has only been tested in Red Hat distributions.
 
1. Move the base driver tar file to the directory of your choice. For example,
   use /home/username/atl1 or /usr/local/src/atl1.
 
2. Untar/unzip archive:
     tar zxf atl1-x.x.x.tar.gz
 
3. Change to the driver src directory:
     cd atl1-x.x.x/src/
 
4. Compile the driver module:
     make install
 
   The binary will be installed as:
     /lib/modules/<KERNEL VERSION>/kernel/drivers/net/atl1.[k]o
 
   The install locations listed above are the default locations. They might not be correct for certain Linux distributions. For more information, see the ldistrib.txt file included in the driver tar.
 
5. Install the module:
     insmod atl1 <parameter>=<value>
 
6. Assign an IP address to the interface by entering the following, where
   x is the interface number:
     ifconfig ethx <IP_address>
 
7. Verify that the interface works. Enter the following, where <IP_address>
   is the IP address for another machine on the same subnet as the interface  
   that is being tested:
     ping  <IP_address>  

avant de pouvoir compiler un driver il te faut installer les kernel-source :
1) verifie ta version de kernel (#uname -a)
2) urpmi kernel-source-taversiondekernel
 
ensuite tu pourras essayer de compiler soit par rpmbuild soit par make

J'ai installé  urpmi kernel-source-2.6.17.10mdv
C'est ça ?
Mais premier problème : je ne vois pas quel fichier décompresser. Voici le contenu du dossier Lan dans Drivers Linux :

Comment ca quel fichier à décompresser ???
urpmi télécharge, décompresse et installe normalement non   Je suis sur ubuntu, mais je pense que mandriva a un gestionnaire de paquet correct ??
 
Normalement, tu n'as rien d'autre a faire pour installer... c'est fait !!
Tu peut passer à la suite..
Au fait, tu compile un driver... tu n'as pas trouve les packages mandriva ? c'est plus simple et devrait toujours etre la solution retenue !

J'ai du mal m'exprimer.
Pour l'install du kernel, c'est fait.
Le fichier que je ne trouve pas, c'est celui des drivers pour Le lan Gigabyte
