Bonjour !
Je bataille avec ma carte wifi broadcome 4306 rev. 02. Je viens d'installer mandriva 2009, noyau 2.6.27.
J'utilisais avec un succès total le module bcm43xx avant, mais impossible aujourd'hui d'obtenir une adresse IP sur n'importe quel reseau wifi (WPA ou non crypté)
Je peut faire un scan des réseaux, specifier une cle wpa, wep, specifier le nom du reseau (ESSID)

Apparemment aucun DHCP... _mais_ parfois ca marche ! Sisi, il m'est arrivé d'avoir une connection fonctionnelle, mais c'est vraiment rare.
J'ai essayé avec ndiswrapper, et bien c'est pareil. J'arrive a scanner, mais si j'ai une adresse IP je suis _heureux_
 
Je lance donc cette bouteille a la mer : avez-vous une idée ?

Oui, complètement... sauf pour installer le firmware, la bien sur a la mano via fw-cutter
J'ai suivi la page officielle http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/ [...] -b43legacy
 
Et ca marche quand meme, je peut scanner les réseaux !

Apparemment c'est proche oui : déjà pour le début, la carte ne fonctionnait pas au départ, et j,ai du installer le firmware a la mano.
Par contre, la suite (pas d'adresse IP) n'est pas décrit dans ce bug. Je regarderai l'affaire, c'est quand meme embetant.

dans les liens fournis sur le bug, ils conseillent d'utiliser drakconnect et d'installer le paquet b43-fwcutter auparavant afin de s'assurer de récupérer correctement le firmware.

Ben... je l'ai réessayé mais il n'affiche _aucune_ liste de réseau !
Par contre, si je fais de mon conte un iwlist wlan0 scan, j'ai bien la liste des réseaux.
et j'ai bien installé bcm43xx-fwcutter. J'ai essayé ca sans réseau filaire, et avec. Jamais il n'affiche la liste des réseaux. C'est donc encore moins bon que ce que je fais en console, ce que je trouve tres bizarre.
Par contre l'applet de connexion (Centre réseau... je sais pas son nom exactement) me fait bien la liste des réseaux.
Bref, y'a un truc qui colle pas.

par le biais de net_applet (l'applet réseau) tu peux choisir un réseau et le configurer ?(en gros tu le choisis et il devrait te permettre de le configurer)

Oui c'est ce que je fais. Et l'applet attend pour une adresse ip, avec le log que j'ai poste (/var/log/messages)
J'ai discute sur le chan irc de b43-users, avec un gars. Il m'a proposé de tester avec un livecd pour voir si c,est relié à un problème de distro ou pas... bref, pas le grand pas en avant.
Je vais tester avec ubuntu beta, je pense que c'est un 2.6.27, meme noyau c'est interessant.

C'est bien un probleme lie a mandriva : je viens de lancer ubuntu beta 8.10, recupere en filaire le bon firmware, installé... et hop, je suis connecte ! Premier coup ;-)
 
Bon faudrait faire un bug report plus précis. Et récupérer les versions utilisées d'un peu tout (pas évident)

Je testerai ca... des que j'ai un soucis..
Parce que c'est _tres_ etrange, j'ai pourtant teste plusieurs demarrages hier et rien n'y faisait, mais aujourd'hui, au boot pas de soucis. je me fait deco quelques minutes apres, je m'inquiete, je me reconnecte immediatement.
Pour le moment, ca va bien. Donc je touche a rien evidemment. Mais la c'est vraiment bizarre.

Bon je m'acharne quand meme un peu. J'ai trouve deja une _enorme_ piste : les infos sur bcm43xx sont trop vieilles, en effet c'est b43legacy qui est utilise avec mandriva 2009.
Resultat en fouillant dans les logs grace a http://www.linuxquestions.org/ques [...] va-642209/ j'ai vu que j'utilisais le mauvais firmware. Finalement rendez-vous sur cette page http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/ [...] cefirmware et fonction de votre version de carte (la detection automatique charge le driver qui correspond a votre carte).
Pour moi (bcm 4306 rev. 2) c'est b43legacy et suivre a la lettre : http://linuxwireless.org/en/users/ [...] -b43legacy
Donc maintenant... ben j'arrive avec les driver b43 au meme niveau que ndiswrapper : impossible de me connecter sur mon WPA2, je n'ai pas d'adresse IP qui parvient (dhcp qui boucle...)
Bon mais ca avance.
 
Au final, le lendemain tout marche ! (peut etre un reboot necessaire)
