J'ai un gros probleme de crash de serveur X. En effet lorsque je lance celui-ci (en utilisant /usr/bin/X11/X , mais aussi startx sauf que j'ai juste besoin du serveur), au bout d un temps indéterminé (moins de 30mn) le serveur crashe. Je precise : Il s agit d'un serveur X version 4.1.0.1 tournant sur une debian woody 3.0 avec noyau 2.2.20 ( debian est censé avoir des versions stables de ses composants) donc je ne pense pas que ce soit du a une version bugguée de X.
 
La machine sur laquelle tout ca tourne est une carte PC104 avec processeur cyrix GEODE(compatible x86) et carte graphique integrÈe cyrix MX . Il n y a pas de driver pour celle ci donc j utilise le driver vesa standard.
 
Il y a egalement dessus une dalle tactile EloTouch avec un controleur 2500S et le driver associé elographics_drv.o
 
Rien d'autre n est installé.
 
 
Au debut, je pensais que c etait mon programme qui plantait, mais finalement j'ai lancé le serveur X sans le programme et ca plante egalement (au bout d un certain temps comme je l'ai dit ci-dessus). Ce n'est pas en effectuant une action bien précise.
 
 
Quelqu un connait-il le probleme ? et si c est une mauvaise version de X , comment installer une nouvelle version (le package le plus recent de debian est le 4.1.0.1 sur www.Debian.org section packages)

Bah disons qu il se lance sans probleme et que je peux l utiliser quelques temps. Puis ,pouf,  il crashe sans aucune raison evidente.
 
 
Je ne me sers pas du tout des polices , a la limite meme si je pouvais ne pas m en servir ca m arrangerait. Je veux juste :
 
- passer en mode graphique
- lancer mon application qui gere les evenements souris (dalle tactile redirigée vers souris), et qui me permettent de faire des put_image() c tout. (ah si masquer le pointeur souris aussi)
 
 
Pour le xfree.log j ai essayé mais je suis sur un mac (de merde) et je peux pas le poster. Je le prends donc sur disquette et je le poste de chez moi d ici 1h.
 
Sinon ma question subsidiaire sur comment installer le dernier XFree tient toujours (le 4.3.0 chai pas quoi telecharger y a un tas de fichier)

cela dit , je viens de mettre en commentaire les fontes , je laisse tourner toute la nuit je verrai ce que ca donnera :)

Je pense que si c'était un prob de fontes, ton X ne démarrerait même pas.
Sinon il faut avouer que ta version de X commence à dater sérieusement. Il me semble que les dernières versions ont fait pas mal de progrès dans le support des périph' comme les écrans tactiles. A ta place j'essairais d'upgrader pour la 4.3.0.

oui :) je veux bien mais je fais comment ? sur www.xfree.org la version 4.3.0 en telechargement est d un complexe .... existe-t-il une archive contenant tout le necessaire ?

soit tu te trouves un package debian quelque part
soit tu compile xfree toi même. (oublie si tu as un petit pc). Pour t'aider dans cette compile tu pourrais consulter la doc blfs,

cela peut être due aux drivers fbdev, j'ai remarqué qu'ils pouvaient être instables et/ou avoir un comportement erratique
