http://www.materiel.net/ctl/Proces [...] 2_250.html
ou
http://www.materiel.net/ctl/Proces [...] ition.html

Battery
A coin-cell battery (CR2032) powers the real-time-clock and CMOS memory. When the computer is not plugged into a wall socket, the battery has an estimated life of three years. When the computer is plugged in, the standby current from the power supply extends the battery life.
Power Management Features
The power management features of your system allow you to reduce power consumption while enjoying full system capabilities. This means, in a corporate environment, a true network manageability and TCO savings.
Power Management is implemented at two levels:
•Software: Advanced Configuration and Power Interface (ACPI)
•Hardware: Power Connector
The motherboard features Soft Power Off, which automatically turns power off when you exit Windows 2000 or Windows XP.
Instantly Available Technology
With the ever-growing needs in communication capabilities and the need for a power-efficient computer, APM appeared to be no longer able to meet these requirements. To solve the problem, a new technology, mainly based on ACPI , has been developed: Instantly Available Technology. It enables the motherboard to enter the ACPI S3 sleep-state (Suspend-to-RAM). While in the S3 sleep-state, the computer appears to be off (the power supply is off, the fans are off and the front panel LED is amber). When a wake-up device (a keyboard for example) or event (RTC alarm) sends a signal, the system quickly returns to its last known wake state.
